  • Wing Mirrors - Replacement and repair

    Hi,

Anyone know any answers to the following:

Is it straightforward to replace a complete wing mirror on a ForFour Pulse, and if so how is it done ?
Can just the glass be replaced (and is it DIYable)?
What is the approx cost of each ?

    Ta muchly.

If its just the glass they are normally now just stuck on so you should be able to just pop it out.
Ill ask my mother........she has a for four......
    get back to ya!

probably clipped rather than stuck - but the principle is the same

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

            Thanks all.

            Phoned smart Watford for prices:
~£65+VAT for the wing mirror assembly - incl galss but not the plastic cover.
~£25+VAT for the mirror casing cover (as if you'd buy a new mirror without it).
~14+VAT if I just need the glass (parts man confirmed it is a push fit).

Prices don't include fitting (surprise surprise) so not sure what they'd charge for the labour. Chap suggested I could fit it myself.

Only drawback (apart from the cost) is that they can't sell parts over the phone so I have to travel to the dealership to order and buy the parts, and then return to collect them. Not so smart business model.

Also found a "How To" on the smartclub site:

            Cheers
