GPS Receiver

Hi Guys, there is a GPS receiver cable behind the radio, can I use this? Is it ready to work. Situation is that I have a Ipaq 4700 pda with TomTom, I use the inbuilt bluetooth to make a GPS connection with the supplied TomTom bluetooth receiver. Now That I have just installed a pda cradle in the car, I was wondering if I can use the GPS receiver thats cabled behind the car radio... I know I may have to get some sort of connector to wire it in.... hope this has not confused anyone...
