  • non specialist servicing

    Hi all

I've just bought a forfour 1.3 petrol softouch and it's got 5400 miles on the clock. It'll be two years old on the 20th september and the first (A) service was done last year about the same time at about 2100 miles. It's immaculate and doesn't look as if it's been out of the garage much at all.
At the moment if I look at the service display it shows two spanners and 11700 miles. Now am I right in saying I shall get an indication to get the car serviced in early september?
I phoned my local Smart dealership who didnt supply the car and they say a B service with a/c is £310. A small local company that say they specialise in mercs, smarts and BMWs say they have all the equipment necessary are quoting £249. The garage I normally go to say they can do the job at £?????. Now here's my real question. Does the Smart forfour definitely require real specialist work to the point where you really must go to the right people or can it be done elsewhere. I want to look after this car, but the servicing is really an arm and a leg business.
advice and info would be appreciated

    Re: non specialist servicing

Try checking out our service prices here: http://www.smartsrus.com/srus/175_Servicing.html

We are a specialist as I'm sure you are aware and have the capacity to run a diagnosic check on your car which is part of the service. A non specialist may well be skilled but even forfours rely on electronic diagnosis to keep them in good fettle.

You will also notice that our B service price is £178

We also do a good line in coffee and have big sofas to sit on while your service is being done.

    SRUS team.
