  • Fitting i-pod

Just buying a well-specced forfour 1.5 softouch, except it doesn't have an i-pod connection, which is a blow. I'll bet loads of you have done it already, but whats the best way. We need it to work through the car speakers too. Also are there any known problems to watch out for?

If you've got radio six you can get a lead, if you got radio 5 forget it.

We have radio 5 with upgrade. Surely it just needs wiring in somehow. Or does this only happen in cuckooland?

Got an Itrip transmitter and it works fine in our ForFour, much better than in my Volvo V70.

I used to use an itrip and it was horrible... could hardly get a clear reception where i live... sound quality wasn't even as good as putting a tape adaptor and playing it off of that...

i used to use one of these in my old car www.dension.com/icelinkplus.php

If you have the Radio 6 (Doesn't work with the 5 as you need use the socket for the CD changer) then you can buy the lead pretty cheaply from Merc. Fitting it is a 20 minute job. I have an instruction list of how to do it if you need one.
