  • What tyres?

I ask for your view as i need to buy 4 tyres for 8Jx17.

I'm after this size 225width/35height/17inch rim.

Any places that offer good value, other than mytyres which are not the cheapest on this size.

    thanks

What sort of tyre are you after and where do they have to be and what guide price? Micheldever are normally quite good but my local tyre shop would do 4 Hancooks for £300.

      Chris,

Must be Y or Z rated as car does over 140mph and i like to be within tyre limits.

Really want Dunlop SP 9000's but i cant force myself to pay £107per tyre! have been quoted £181per tyre.

Never had Hancocks before........ who makes them? as usually its one of the bigger brands in disguise

I've got Hankooks (just checked the spelling!) on my BRC and quite pleased with them.

"Hankook is one of the largest tire manufacturers in the world - making a full range of passenger tires, high-performance radials, light truck and SUV tires, winter radials, Original Equipment, and medium truck and bus tires. Hankook tires are sold in more than 200 countries worldwide! Their parent company, Hankook Tire Co. Ltd, is based in Seoul, Korea. High-quality products backed by warranties and roadside assistance programs! "

I'm a tyre nutcase. By that, I mean that I'd rather pay £150+ per boot and know that I've got the best rubber 'tween me and the road, and if I'm forced to change a tyre on one side (say, puncture) I'll replace the opposing one too. Am I unusual in that respect?
