Does anyone with a Brabus here actually manage the much publicised 40mpg figures?

Just seems like an unbelievable return for almost 180bhp and 0-60 in under 7.Fuel consumption

How on earth do you manage that mate? When I first got my remap my second tank averaged at 21mpg over a whole tank... But that's the worst I've ever got, and have never got less than 35mpg since!Originally posted by ZorroReturnsComment

Me too, but only on a fairly long run..........or when not "using" the turbo on shorter runs.
To and from work - about 12 miles each way - between 28 and 35 mpg, depending on traffic and "competition"

8mpg was not recorded for myself in UK, but a very nice piece of A3 road up against a race setup smart forfour (non turbo) which pushes out 150bhp!!!!!Comment

nope, dont drive it like a girl, i drive it like a 23 year old man who needs to keep his 3 years no claims discont and cant afford to start shelling out loads of cash on speeding fines!:p

I can now confirm for myself that is possible to get 40 mpg (or close to it) by going easy on the turbo.

I made a 13 mile trip last night at an average speed of 41MPH, keeping the revs below the turbo range as often as I could & the trip computer reckons I got 37.6 MPG
Now that's a new record for me.Comment
