Fuel....Wots best fer brabus for4

So what is actually the best fuel to run my car on, being as there are a few to choose from and many kinds of driving types...

bimbling round town 20-30 mph can I use the cheap 95 RON fuel 50% of the cars use is for this...

going on holidays 1100 mile round trips are the norm motorways and A roads

embarrasing the boy racers at the local macdonalds

and should I stay away from 99 RON

and can I use R fuels I fancy doin speedfreaks ball next year....

Shell V Power and Tesco 99 Ron are very popular, you don't have to be razzing the t*ts off it to benefit from these petrols.
Personally I steer well clear of BP ultimate, the MPG was V poor.

If you want real power try AVGAS

My smart owner manual says that Brabus engine forfour should be run on 98ron or better only use 95ron in emergencies, I assume the reason for this is that lower octane fuels will cause it to "knock" and eventually cause some damage.

It'll have a knock sensor, so it'll be alright on 95, but it'll lose about 20-30bhp... (not that you'll gain 20-30bhp by using 99ron in a 95ron car)

Fill it with 95ron, drive it til its empty then fill up with Tescos 99ron. You'll make your mind up in a matter of minutes!

I personally have never used anything else other than shell optimax / Shell V-power in my Brabus.

If Smart / Brabus themselves advise that 98 ron is best then i'm not gonna argue.

Mine seems to prefer Tesco 99 RON or Shell VPower, but it's a 35 mile round trip to the nearest suppliers!!:frown:

Finding Tesco 99 round manchester is a problem so I use V-power.

DON'T! yer cat won't like it cos It's got LEAD in it, at the very least it may burn your valves out. (I sometimes run my Harley on it but none of our Smarts)
