auto box problem ?

My forfour Auto CDI is due for a service and the warranty expires at the end of Jan 07.When driving along in auto it occassionaly seems to jump out of gear.It still says A on the display but the gears are not engaged.If i put it into 1st gear then back to Auto it runs ok.Is this a knopwn problem or will it be the norm and nothing to worry about?

I don't think it's normal! I'd get it looked at before the warranty ends!

Has it had any kind of software upgrade since you've had it ?

Reason I ask is coz there was a software update not so long back that seemed to cure 95% of the problems with the auto box.

Get it booked in & mention the gearbox & they probably put the new software on.
