  • No power to radio (smartsix)

The smartsix radio on my car has worked fine for the past 14 months, and this morning when I hit the on/off switch, nothing.
Funnily enough it is capable of ejecting and accepting a CD (but it cannot play it).
There is zilch on the display; everything else in the car seems fine

    (a) Is this a fuse, if so can these be bought in places like Halfords
(according to the manual, Fuse No 27 is doe the audio/subwoofer) (i do not have a subwoofer)
    (b) Is this a sign that something more serious is about to fail?
    Any advice gratefully appreciated:newbie:

It's probably a fuse, there are two power inputs into the radio a red wire and a yellow wire, one gives power all the time, the other when the ignition is on. It sounds like only one of those is giving power.

Did this ever get resolved, I have just bought a forfour after having a roadster, went to fix my ex-roadster radio in and blew the fuse, when I changed it, the ex-roadster unit (JVC) would only eject and take in a cd, nothing on the screen. I'm confused, played about with the red/yellow wires but still nothing!
