    hi guys.just bought my first smart.only bought her to pull behind my campervan for going away.but now my golf cabrio is off the road and up for sale and my fortwo pulse is my everyday car and i love it :-)i see loads of these cars in swansea area and always wanted one.

              hi.152,000 miles.you can answer me a question then :-) is it true a smart car engine has to be rebuilt approx every 60,000 miles? cheers richard.

                    ...and my For2 and roadie haven't needed rebuilding, even after 100k and 75k respectively...

                      They can easily last longer than 60,000 but you must keep on top of the servicing promptly,
                      especially the oil + filter change.

                      (Roadster engines generally last longer and have a small oil cooler fitted which 42 engines don't
                      hence the advice about oil changes)

                      Before I inadvertently start an arguement there are other factors involved
